Julia is an associate lawyer at Gionet Fairley Wood LPP, where she represents clients in a wide range of legal disputes, including construction, commercial, employment, estate, and real estate matters. Her diverse experience enables her to approach matters with a unique, interdisciplinary perspective, often identifying key issues that lead to comprehensive and efficient solutions for clients.
Julia obtained her Juris Doctor from Western University, Faculty of Law (2022). She specialized in Business Law, gaining a solid foundation in the legal aspects of business. She completed her articles at a reputable mid-sized, full-service firm in Toronto serving clients in general and tax litigation matters. Following her Call to the Bar in 2023, Julia returned to Barrie, her hometown, to provide tailored and diligence legal services to her community. She has appeared before various tribunals and courts, including the Superior Court, Small Claims Court, Landlord and Tenant Board, Human Rights Tribunal, and Consent and Capacity Board, advocating for clients in a wide range of legal matters.
Julia takes a client-centered approach to resolving her client disputes, balancing strong advocacy focused on individual client goals and the achievement of practical solutions through effective negotiation, applying whichever is most effective for the situation. She is also mindful of the costs associated with litigation, working to provide clients with cost-effective strategies without compromising on quality.
Outside of work, Julia liked to stay active. She holds black belts in two martial arts disciplines, enjoys playing tennis and skiing. Julia is also a member of the Rotary Club of Barrie, where she actively contributes to local community initiatives.
